Melissa has loved acting ever since she saw The Wizard of Oz aged 6. After a childhood spent convincing her reluctant younger brother that dressing up and putting on shows was the best way to spend the school holidays, Melissa found more willing collaborators at the Australian National University, where she majored in Film Studies and directed and acted in plays for the National University Theatre Society. She also has a recurring role in the internet detective series The Polcheck Chronicles, where she gets to shoot at bad guys and thwart the occasional alien invasion.
