For those who haven't been following Canberra Dramatics' activities this year, Take Their Life is a reimagining of Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet in which the tragic couple, rather than dying, are forced to live with each other! A creative team has been working since the beginning of the year on developing an altered script for the play, and this will be staged at the Tuggeranong Arts Centre in November. All we need is a cast and some crew!

Opening on Saturday, Free Rain Theatre's production of The Jungle Book is sure to be a great opportunity for the young ones. Take the entire family along to the Tuggeranong Arts Centre any time in the next week to introduce them to this classic.

ACT Singers are exploring the works of Shakespeare in this his 444th year. The program features iconic texts - spoken and sung - with musical works drawn from opera, art song and music theatre. For the members of the group it is a chance to explore work that is rarely performed in Canberra and an opportunity to celebrate the genius of Shakespeare.

Messengers, the Tuggeranong Arts Centre's arts-based youth resilience program, is working on a project called 'Body Image Body Scrimmage', part of which is the production of a theatrical work to be staged at the Tuggeranong Arts Centre in October. Young performers—especially male ones—are needed for the program. This is an opportunity to develop performance skills and work with a team of talented professionals from various theatre and other arts institutions in Canberra and Sydney.
